The Redding Community Center building opened in early Summer of 2002. The facilities include three multi-purpose playing fields, a gymnasium, two community rooms, a senior center and the Park and Recreation offices.
With the opening of the community center, the town will now be able to offer a host of new programs that we had previously been unable to accommodate due to limited space. Besides expanding our traditional programs, Park and Recreation will hope to address the needs of many previously under-served residents groups. Many groups such as preschoolers, middle-schoolers, high-schoolers, families, and adults have had only a hand full of programs dedicated to their interests. Working with the Senior Center we will make sure there are programs for all residents.
